SHEEP in Rhuddlan were rescued and moved to pastures new yesterday (October 1) after heavy rain earlier this week overflowed on to grazing field.
The pregnant sheep had to be moved to drier grazing ground at Abbey Farm as a result of the rainfall, which led to several weather warnings issued for parts of Denbighshire.
You can watch footage of the rescue operation, provided by Abbey Farm, below.

A spokesperson for Abbey Farm said: “The sheer amount of rainfall over last few days has meant the river has overflowed onto our grazing fields, so we’ve had to move the pregnant sheep to drier grazing ground.
“It was nearly a year ago that we had to completely evacuate all sheep through the village back to fields by the farm, so it seems it’s an issue for us earlier every year now.”
