AN event with a difference took place at a Bodelwyddan cafe.
Cakes and shakes are familiar fayre at most eateries - but for one day only C&T Cafe and Bistro played host to some slithering special guests.
Courtesy of Rani Reptiles, there were several pythons and corn snakes - even some tiny baby snakes - for customers to meet.

The Snakes, Cakes & Shakes event was organised by the duo behind the upcoming North Wales Macabre Market, Katie Daly and Lynne Stevens.
It was a chance for members of the associated Facebook group North Wales Alternatives, as well as cafe customers, to meet and fall in love with the snakes.
People came from all over North Wales, including Bangor and Holywell.

Katie said: "It got really busy and everyone seemed to enjoy it, the turn out was honestly amazing!"
Lynne added that snakes were ideal pets, much easier to care for than rabbits and guinea pigs, and she thinks some of those who attended would have a snake in their households before long.

On Facebook, Carla Jade Roberts said: "We came to the Snakes, Cakes & Shakes event today and it was superb...for someone who was convinced they had a fear of snakes you've truly proven me wrong and I've now got plans to be a snake mum.
"My girls are absolutely snake obsessed and can't wait to be mini mums to snakes too.
"Thank you to all involved for an absolutely brilliant day."
After the event, cafe owner Tanja Bauer said: "Thank you everyone for an amazing day at the café today.
"Sorry if it took a bit longer for your orders but we didn't anticipate being so busy as we were also a massive thank you to Lynne for making it happen and to my staff who kept me and the café going you are all amazing!"
The cakes at the cafe are truly delicious - look out for a taste test article soon!
