A MATCH official from Prestatyn was named the national winner of the prestigious ‘Grassroots Match Official of the Year Award’.

Mason Parry was presented with the award at the 2024 FAW & McDonald’s Grassroots Football Awards ceremony, held at the Cardiff St. David’s Hotel on September 20.

The awards recognise and celebrate the tireless work of grassroots football heroes who make football possible by consistently supporting their communities by going above and beyond.

Now in their twentieth year, Mason Parry joined a long list of inspirational grassroots football heroes who have been recognised by the programme.

Mason’s passion for football has been evident since he could walk.

Starting at age two at Prestatyn soccer school, he quickly showcased his talent, earning trials with Premier League clubs.
