THE TEAM behind a Jamaican restaurant in Flintshire have thanked its 'loyal customers' as they wave goodbye to the site.
Holywell's Up a Yard restaurant on Greenfield Road has enticed customers from far and wide with its delicious authentic menu since it opened in 2021.
But, there was a shock for fans of the business over the weekend as owner Charlotte Stanley confirmed that it would be closing down.
Charlotte added that the site on the High Street in Prestatyn would however remain open, meaning that the business will continue to exist a little further down the coast.
She said: "Three years of team work, mentoring, dedication, blood, sweat and tears at this amazing little place. I have decided to close the doors at Up A Yard Holywell."

Charlotte added: "But, our other location is in Prestatyn, so don't worry - cause, every little thing is gonna be alright, as Bob (Marley) would say.
"It has been an amazing successful journey with you all and this is more of a hello rather than a goodbye as we continue our journey in Prestatyn with plenty more to look forward to."
Charlotte added that the Prestatyn venue will soon be introducing an 'exciting lunch time menu', as well as Sunday lunch options and events and Reggae nights.
She said: "I want to thank my loyal customers for all the support and hope you continue to visit us in Prestatyn, which I’m sure you will."
Speaking to the Leader, Charlotte added: "So we are not gone completely. We have got the exact same business, just based in Prestatyn as we outgrew little Holywell."
Just last month, the Up A Yard site in Holywell was subjected to vandalism.
Plant pots were trashed, flowers thrown over the path and paint was splattered on two of the shop's windows.
Charlotte branded the attack - the second of its kind that the business had suffered - as 'embarrassing'.
The award-winning business' Prestatyn site opened in April of this year as 'Back A Yard'.
