The court heard that an argument broke out between Roberts and her neighbour, Rachel Harris, after the defendant had failed to receive an item she had paid Ms Harris £350 for on Facebook Marketplace.
On August 2, Roberts sent a number of “unpleasant and threatening” voice messages to Ms Harris, including threatening to cause damage to her house.
She also pulled the Ring doorbell off Ms Harris’ house.
After the messages continued, Ms Harris, who said she was “scared” and feels as if she has had to “walk on eggshells”, made a complaint to police.
In mitigation, Roberts, who was supported by her partner in court and is a mother-of-five, has been medicated for mental health issues since the age of seven.
At the time of this incident, there was a national shortage of the medication which she is prescribed.
She had not been before the courts for seven years previously, apologises for her actions and has had no issues with Ms Harris since.
Ms Harris was also said to have paid back the £350 to Roberts, meanwhile.
Magistrates ordered Roberts to pay fines totalling £120, a surcharge of £48, prosecution costs of £85, and compensation to Ms Harris of £40.
She was also prohibited from contacting Ms Harris, directly or indirectly, for the next six months.
