A PUB in Abergele has amended its opening times “following a fight by some selfish ‘adults’” at its premises last weekend.
The George & Dragon, on Market Street, will now shut at 11pm from Sunday to Thursday, and midnight on Fridays and Saturdays.
Its new opening hours are now from 11am daily, meanwhile.
Previously, the pub was open from 9am until 2am on Fridays and Saturdays, and 9am until 11.45am on Thursdays.
A person involved in the incident last Saturday evening (September 14) lost a tooth, meanwhile.
The pub said in a statement: “Following an fight by some selfish 'adults' late Saturday evening, I have decided to review the hours; especially closing hours.
“With the summer holidays out of the way, our new opening hours are from 11am daily.
"Closing hours are as follows: Sunday to Thursday 11pm, and Friday and Saturday 12am.
“During the fight, someone lost a tooth. If you would like to come and collect it, we will hold it for a short while.
“You never know, the tooth fairy may feel sorry for you.”
The George & Dragon re-opened under new management in June 2023.
In 2019, The George & Dragon was named the best community pub in the Conwy district, and in 2017, won the gold prize for community pub at the Best Bar None awards.
