A PUB in Rhyl has welcomed back customers after re-opening under new management.
The Glanglasfor, just off the town’s High Street and affectionately known as “The Glan”, held its “soft opening” today (September 17) when it opened for the first time in months at 11am.
It will be open tomorrow and Thursday before its official “full opening” event on Friday (September 20), which will feature music and entertainment.
Laura Millington, who has been involved in the running of pubs for more than a decade, has taken on The Glanglasfor along with her husband, Mark.
Mark said: “We’re quite busy already. We’ll be open all week, but Friday will be the main opening event.
“We’ve taken on the upstairs of the premises as well, now, and want to re-open it as snooker and pool hall by about late November.
“We’re local anyway, know everyone around here, and used to drink there, so we just wanted to get it back and running, and getting this little part of Rhyl going again and looking nice.
“We’ve put new bench seating in, out of our money, and will be putting entertainment on every weekend - things like bingo and poker nights, singers, karaoke – and, eventually, all through the week, hopefully.”
The Glanglasfor is open seven days a week, from 11am until late.
