A FOOTBALL match will be held in Prestatyn this weekend to raise money for two charities.
The Reds vs The Hoops will take place at Prestatyn Town Football Club, Bastion Gardens, on Sunday (September 22) at 4pm.
Donations will be split equally between Cancer Research UK and Cuddles, Ysbyty Glan Clwyd’s neonatal unit charity.
Admission to the match costs £2, while there will also be a licensed bar, a food bar, cake stands, a bouncy castle, a beat the keeper competition, and much more.
You can donate by visiting: www.justgiving.com/page/ptfc-charity-match.
Joel Howard, who lives in Prestatyn and used to play for Prestatyn Town’s academy, said: “There are 28 to 30 players taking part in the game; all local people.
“I picked Cancer Research, mainly because everyone playing has been affected by cancer in some way, shape or form.
“I just thought it would be nice to raise money for them. It’d just be nice to try and make some sort of a difference. The more we raise, either through JustGiving or from cash buckets on the day, it will all help.”
