SHOPPERS in Prestatyn’s Tesco supermarket witnessed a standoff last night (September 12) between a baguette-wielding member of staff and a defiant seagull.
Ashley Fisher took the attached photo at about 8pm yesterday, at the supermarket at Parc Prestatyn Shopping Park.
The seagull can be seen perched high on a light while the staff member attempts to lure it out of the store with a French stick.
Elsewhere in Denbighshire earlier this year, Frank Jordan claimed his cheese was damaged in a seagull attack outside the Sainsbury’s store in Rhyl.
Mr Jordan fought off the seagull, which at one point had the cheese “in its beak”, and by the end of the ordeal had ripped the pack open and damaged it.
