A FUNDRAISER event has been arranged to try and fund a holiday for a nine-year-old girl from Rhyl who has a rare form of liver cancer.
Jasmine Lee was diagnosed with sarcoma of the liver on November 1, 2023, and has since underwent numerous rounds of chemotherapy, as well as a liver resection.
On November 1, 2024 – exactly a year on from her diagnosis – an event, titled “Jazzy’s Spook-Lee Night”, will be held to support her at Sandy Bay Club in Towyn.
It has been organised by Jasmine’s aunt, Gail Waring, as well as Gail’s daughter, Abbie Lee, and her best friend, Jeanette Roberts.

Gail said: “We wanted to send her on a holiday of her choice. She loves life, so we’re just trying to raise money to give her whatever she wants.
“She’s been fantastic. Even the nurses and doctors at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital (in Liverpool) can’t get over how well she’s reacted to all of the treatment.
“She lost all of her hair, but that’s grown back now. Even after the liver operation, she was home four days later and walking on the beach, which was amazing.
“We call her a little superhero. She’s been flying through it all. You wouldn’t even think she was ill.”
The fundraiser event, taking place from 4pm until late, will involve a fireworks display, disco, Halloween fancy dress, and a raffle.
