400 LITRES of used cooking oil has been stolen from a business in Prestatyn.

Police reported the incident yesterday (September 10), and warned businesses that the product is often the target of organised crime groups.

They urged businesses to contact them regarding collector details.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We have received a report that approx. 400 litres of used cooking oil has been stolen from the rear of a business in Prestatyn.

"Business owners, please take caution when storing used oil as it has been the target of organised crime groups in previous years and problematic in other force areas.

"If you require a poster to display your usual collectors details as a reminder to staff, please drop us an email at wedontbuycrime@northwales.police.uk and your local WDBC PCSO will provide this for you."
