MYSTERY remains after a tree was felled in Rhyl Town Centre - right outside the town hall.
On Wednesday morning commuters on Queen Street in Rhyl were greeted by the sight of a fallen tree on the pavement.
The tree had broken at the base, indicating significant force had brought it down. One onlooker said: "I'd say it's been brought down rather than falling due to the wind or anything.
"The trunk is snapped and the bricks around it have dislodged. It looks like it may have been hit by a car."
A spokesperson for Denbighshire County Council said: "This issue has been dealt with and is now cleared."
