THE MET Office has predicted a mixture of cloud and sunny spells across North Wales for the remainder of the week (August 27-31).

Today will be largely dry with warm sunny spells in the east. There will be plenty of cloud and rain, locally heavy, likely reaching western parts during the afternoon and turning breezy along western coasts and hills. Maximum temperature 23C.

Later tonight, it will remain often cloudy, especially in the west with spells of rain and drizzle slowly moving eastwards overnight. Winds will start to ease with a minimum temperature of 11C.

There will be a rather cloudy to start with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle tomorrow morning. It is expected to turn drier and brighter into the afternoon with sunnier spells developing with a maximum temperature of 23C.

A spokesperson for the Met Office confirmed the outlook for the rest of the week.

They said: "Drier and brighter through the period as higher pressure builds into the weekend. Lighter winds than of late with temperatures near to average."
