THE opening of a new “drop-in” tea and coffee room at a shopping centre will be marked by a “family fun day” later this month.
The coffee room, called Lighthouse, will be based within the Ahava Community charity shop in the White Rose Centre, and will open for the first time on Saturday, August 31.
On the same day, there will be face-painting, children’s games, a name the teddy competition, music, and food between 10am and 3pm.
Funds raised from the event will be donated to Bearjamin the Fundraising Bear (Richard Kendrick).
