STUDENTS and staff at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan in Abergele are delighted with this year’s "fantastic" A-Level results.
Outgoing Headteacher, Sue Williams, said: “It has been a fantastic morning at Ysgol Emrys ap Iwan, celebrating many outstanding achievements for our Sixth Form learners.
"We are, once again, immensely proud of our learners in Years 13 and 12 for the tremendous results that they have achieved.
"We wish them every success in their future endeavours.”
The school added: "Everyone is very proud of the hard work that our learners have put into their studies and we are delighted with their achievements and wish them the very best for their future at a number of prestigious universities or to further training in the world of work.
"We would also like to thank those who have supported them in preparing them for their A level exams.

"This includes our dedicated staff for guiding our learners though their studies, parents for their continued support and governors for their support of the school.

A significant number of Year 13 learners have achieved incredible success, including attaining the highest possible grades.
Among those celebrating A-Level grades was Naomi Badmus, who achieved 4 A* grades to earn a university place to study medicine.
Naomi said: “I am delighted with my results.
"I have had a great time in Emrys. Thank you to all of the teachers and students for the support over the years.”
The following students also also achieved excellent results: Grace Giblin Jones 2A* 1A, 1B; Tiegan Bowers 2A* 1C; Leah Bridgewater 2A* 1A, 1B; Khalil Ahmed 1A, 3B; Megan Hughes 1A* 1B, Kelisha-Jo Evans 4Bs.
There were also many successes at AS level for Year 12 learners, including Amy Witherspoon, Mia Witherspoon, Kian Beydemueller, Lilly Gill, Emma Gingell, Lennon Richards and Tania Samed.
