A YOUNGSTER with a passion for engineering has gained a placement in the sector thanks to a special scheme.
Alex took on Working Denbighshire’s Work Start Scheme, designed to provide people with placement opportunities in a sector they are passionate about, which proved to be a turning point for him.
After gaining his Level 2 qualification in engineering, he sought expert guidance from a placement officer, who helped Alex secure a 12-week placement in mechanics after completing an interview process.
This has the possibility to be a permanent role once he completes the placement.
