THE organiser of a one-day festival in Dyserth has hailed a “wonderful” event last weekend.
DysFest, which included live music, entertainment and street food, was held on King George’s Field on Saturday (August 10).
There were also stall holders, a licensed bar, a miniature fairground, and plenty of children’s activities, including a bouncy castle.
The music involved 13 different acts, performing from 11am until 11pm, including the Year Five class from Ysgol Hiraddug, a primary school in Dyserth.
Pupils opened the festival by singing Ed Sheeran’s Perfect in memory of their classmate, who sadly died last year.

Deb Maxwell, who was organising DysFest for the second time, said: “The festival was enjoyed by several hundred families who enjoyed the full line-up. The artists were amazing - each and every one of them stood out.
“The street food vendors had a great day, too, selling out of catering by 10.30pm.
“It was wonderful seeing the community enjoying themselves, dancing the night away in such beautiful surroundings.
“My son, Elliot, worked so hard helping organise the event, and I’d like to say how grateful I am to Graham Maxwell, director of NetWell Scaffolding, for their huge sponsorship.
“Without their financial support, the event would not have happened.”
