A MAN has died following a fire at a commercial property in Prestatyn in the early hours of this morning (August 12).
Police and fire crews were called to a fire at a commercial property on High Street at around 2.30am.
A man died in the blaze, emergency services said.
Police confirmed two men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A North Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "A man has died after a fire at a commercial property in Prestatyn this morning.
"We responded to reports of a fire on the High Street, Prestatyn at 02.35 hours.
"We are working with North Wales Police to determine the cause of the fire.
"Our condolences go out to the man’s family."
A North Wales Police spokesperson said: "Officers are currently investigating a fatal fire on the High Street in Prestatyn which sadly resulted in the death of an adult man.
"We are investigating on behalf of the Coroner."
Chief Superintendent Simon Williams said: “We have arrested two local men who are assisting with our enquiries, but we are keeping an open mind as to the circumstances at this stage.
“I would urge the public not to speculate until the full facts are known.
"We are assisting colleagues from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service at the scene of the incident to understand the cause of the fire.
“There is nothing to suggest that this incident is racially motivated in anyway.
"Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased man at this sad time.”
