A MAN from Rhyl has opened his own personal training studio in the town, offering clients “one-on-one” sessions.

Stephen Tomlinson welcomed customers to Rewired Coaching’s new base, at 41a Water Street, for the first time last month, and has since had an “amazing response”.

He previously based his business in a “tiny little box studio” on Brighton Road for about three years, before getting Rewired Coaching going again at his new “bigger, improved” premises.

Clients can sign up for either eight- or 12-session packages, which consist of either two or three a week for a four-week period.

Stephen, who has seven fitness-related qualifications, said: “A lot of people who want to get fit are struggling to get to a gym, or are worried about going to one.

“If you sign up with me, it’d only be me and you in the building, so it’s better for people who might have anxiety. I try to brand it as a ‘safe place’, really.

“It also gives people the opportunity to talk about their day, and any issues they may have. They come down, they get fit, they achieve their goals, but they also get a more social benefit out of it.

“I’ve had an amazing response - quite a lot of people have signed up so far. I gave myself the target of 12 clients in the first month, but managed to get 13 in the first three weeks.”

Stephen added that all of his sessions are “tailored to the individual”, with each new client will first have a 30-minute consultation with him.

Those interested in signing up with him can do so via either Rewired Coaching’s website or Facebook page.

He added: “I try to cater for all -  weight loss, muscle gain, toning – a mixture of everything, really.”

Stephen is also 26 days in to a fundraising challenge, which will see him run every day for a year to support Ysbyty Glan Clwyd’s Ablett mental health unit.

A couple of years ago, he completed the same challenge for the same cause, raising £700 for the unit in doing so.
