A MAN caught in North Wales with drugs in his bag has been handed a fine.
William Long, of Cottesbrook Place in Liverpool, appeared at Mold Magistrates Court on Thursday
The 33-year-old admitted one offence of possessing a quantity of cannabis at St Asaph on June 26 this year.
Prosecutor Rhian Jackson told the court that on the day in question the defendant was a passenger in a Nissan Qashqai, which was stopped by police.
When searched, the vehicle was found to contain a rucksack - inside which a quantity of cannabis resin was found.
Long admitted the substance belonged to him.

Chris Clark, defending, told the court: "He tells me the car was stopped as part of a routine check and he told the police about the cannabis.
"He tells me he uses it to deal with pain relief after two serious leg injuries sustained when playing football.
"He is also a carer for his mother and father."
The Magistrates urged Long to seek help from his GP rather than using cannabis and handed down a fine of £80, as well as £85 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
