MEDIA personality and presenter Carol Vorderman returned to our screens this week in the new series of ITV’s Cooking with the Stars.
The 63-year-old former Countdown presenter, brought up in Rhyl and Prestayn, is one of several celebrities battling it out in a test of their culinary skills in the show that is best described as Strictly MasterChef.
The programme, which aired on Tuesday, July 30, saw Carol pair up with Scottish restaurateur Tony Singh, who has an impressive 36 years of cooking experience.
No stranger to reality TV, Carol has previously graced our screens on popular shows such as Strictly Come Dancing and I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!
In this latest venture, she put her cookery skills to work under Tony's guidance, creating a salmon coulibiac dish to impress the show's panel of chefs.

While her salmon dish was well received, it fell short of winning her top spot, placing our Carol in the first cook-off of the series.
She went head to head with Pasha Kovalev, former Strictly star, and social media influencer Harry Pinero.
Pinero, 33, found himself battling against Vorderman after his vegan tandoori spiced cauliflower dish failed to impress.
The two celebrities were then tasked with crafting a black forest gateau.
The catch? The panel of chefs would taste each creation without knowledge of who had made it.
Carol succeeded in surviving the first cut, with Pinero receiving the lowest number of votes and becoming the first celebrity to exit the competition.
Born in Bedfordshire to a Dutch father and Welsh mother, Carol was raised in Prestatyn after her parents separated.
The proud Welshwoman has an engaging social media presence.
She also remains a popular figure on British television and radio.
As the Cooking with the Stars contest heats up, viewers will be eager to see how far her cooking skills will take her in the competition.
