A MAN from Rhyl who has won multiple awards in his field of expertise has branched out with the upcoming release of his debut novel.

Daniel Pike’s book, The Cannibal Brothers, will be officially released in late August and has been in the pipeline for four years.

Daniel, 37, first released a manuscript of the book back in 2020 which gained a large following on social media.

This lead to him being offered multiple book deals in 2023, eventually signing a contract with Pegasus Publishers.

Despite being relatively new to creative writing when he started, his work as a UK Divisional Security Lead certainly helped him on his way.

“I am no stranger to writing, with published security research and articles in security industry publications,” Daniel told the Journal.

“However, my journey into creative writing began six years ago, inspired by the books I read on my commute to work.”

He grew up in Greasby on the Wirral, and went on to gain a master’s degree from the University of Leicester, before venturing into the security industry.

Daniel has won multiple awards for his work, with published security research and articles in magazines in the field.

The British Security Awards recently spoke of how his “dedication and excellence has and will continue to shape the industry.”

The Cannibal Brothers brings together aspects of horror, adventure, romance, and action, and follows the tenacious duo Jack and Max, as they navigate an unforgiving, desolate, post-apocalyptic wasteland.

As they battle an unrelenting abyss, lurking cannibals and malevolent forces, the . The bonds they forge are unbreakable, and their sacrifices reveal the true price of hope in a world on the brink of oblivion.

Amidst the excitement of the upcoming release, Daniel has also finished the final draft of the next two books in the series, Rise of the Cannibal and New World Order, with plans for a fourth book.

The Cannibal Brothers is now available for pre-order at Amazon, Pegasus Publishers, Waterstones and WHSmith before its official release on August 29.
