A CEMETERY in Rhyl will undergo repairs after crosses were removed from graves in an act of "mindless vandalism".
Wooden crosses, ornaments, plant pots and vases were reportedly broken at Maeshyfryd Cemetery on Dyserth Road last week.
This lead to many residents checking on their family plots, with others, who live away from Rhyl, asking people to keep tabs on their family's burial places.
The incident reportedly took place on Friday evening (July 19), with bystanders saying police were later in attendance.

Denbighshire County Council, which manages the site, visited on July 22 to inspect the site.
They found no evidence of any damage to headstones, and said the only vandalism they found was the removal of three crosses.
A Denbighshire County Council spokesperson said: “The cemeteries team attended site first thing Monday morning (22 July) and the only notable vandalism was three wooden crosses which had been removed from their graves.
"The team are taking measures to identify which graves the crosses belong to and they will be replaced.
"No other damage has been deducted.”
North Wales Police was approached for comment.
