PUPILS in Prestatyn have raised an amazing £8,000.
All the children in Bodnant Community School in Prestatyn took part in a sponsored walk.
The Nursery and Reception classes had a walk around the school field - but years 1 to 5 had an escorted walk to the Nova and back with school staff.
Money was raised by families and friends sponsoring the children taking part.

Due to reducing school budgets, the Senior Leadership Team decided to raise additional funding by organising the event which all the children could take part in.
Each school class will now receive £500 each to spend on supplies and play equipment.
Headteacher Helen Vernon said: “We didn’t imagine that we would raise anywhere near that amount of money, we are so grateful to all of our families and the community for their donations.
"It's fantastic that everyone came together for this walk and we will look to run a similar event in the future”.
