A SERIES of “family fun beach days” are being held in Rhyl this summer.

Organised by Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, those community family sessions are free of charge, and will be based along the town’s beachfront, by Rhyl Events Arena.

People can enjoy a range of different sport activities including boccia, football, rounders, cricket, dodgeball and more, as well as sensory play and arts and crafts.

The first of these events took place today (July 19), while they will also be held on August 2, 16 and 30 (1-4pm), and August 5 and 20 (3-5pm).

All attendees must register online in advance.

Denbighshire Leisure said: “There is something for everyone in the family to do. These sessions run across Denbighshire sites throughout the school holidays.

“It provides families with something to do, and a good way for families to engage together.

“These events are normally 1.5 to two hours long, and will require a booking, as there are limited places.

“Join us for some family fun in the sun.”

Other similar sessions this summer are being held in Llangollen, Corwen, Denbigh and Prestatyn.
