A SPONSORED walk will take place in Rhyl next week in aid of a Denbigh community interest company.

Cynnig and Activities For You CIC provides support and activities for adults with complex needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and mental health issues.

On Saturday, July 27, a sponsored walk will be held to raise funds for the group, where participants will walk from Marine Lake to Splash Point and back.

All money raised will go directly to funding the next group day out, with any surplus being ring-fenced for future trips.

Sarah Davies, Cynnig deputy manager, said: “It is important to us that any money raised by the group directly benefits the group and is not lost in core costs.

“Please support this fabulous group as they take control and try to raise the money so they can continue to access opportunities they want.

“These activities can only happen if there is funding, and the funding pot is beginning to run dry due to the current economic climate, so support and help is needed.”
