A PERFORMING arts group based in Rhyl opened the Choir of the World night on the Pavilion stage at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod on July 6.
Work in Progress took part in the exciting Kaleidoscope Project; formally known as the Inclusion Project.
This shows the many under-represented and non-competitive groups whose members contribute so much to their communities, as well as to the world of the performing arts.
Artistic director of Work in Progress, Leslie Churchill Ward, said: “Work in Progress was proud to represent Rhyl on such a prestigious stage.
“We are so grateful to the International Eisteddfod for championing under-represented community groups.”
Chairman of Work in Progress, Toby Fagan, added: “It was an amazing night. The performance by the group was very well received by the audience.
“I was so delighted to see people coming up to our members and saying how much they enjoyed the different pieces and congratulating them.”
A member of Work in Progress said: “I never thought I would ever have been able to be a part of something like this!”
If you would like to join Work in Progress, you are welcome to come along to its sessions on Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm.
Anyone aged 18+ is welcome at Good News in the Community, Marsh Road, Rhyl, LL18 2AB.
