First Minister Vaughan Gething has unveiled new legislation geared towards creating a "fairer, stronger, greener Wales".
The programme is made up of several measures including multiple designed to improve transport, safeguard people and tackle the climate emergency.
Among the noteworthy elements in the legislative outline were A Bus Bill and the Building Safety Bill.
The first one aims to enable all government levels in Wales to collectively design a bus network that prioritises passengers over profit.
On the other hand, the Building Safety Bill proposes major alterations in the existing building safety regime, with a focus on addressing fire safety issues in buildings standing 11 metres or more.
Equally paramount in the legislative plan, a Disused Tips (Mines and Quarries) Bill proposes reforms on outdated laws regarding tip safety.
The relative legislation is expected to offer enhanced security to people living nearby.
Emphasising the government's commitment towards housing welfare, the Homelessness Bill is set to introduce significant reforms to help people in Wales remain in their housing and prevent them from experiencing homelessness.
Additional aspects of the legislative program include the Environmental Principles and Biodiversity Bill.
The Bill involves the establishment of an environmental governance body for Wales, legal targets for the protection and restoration of biodiversity.
A Visitor Accommodation Bill is included to enforce safety standards in visitor accommodations.
A bill is also included to give local authorities powers to introduce a visitor levy.
This levy would add a small additional overnight charge on visitors staying in visitor accommodations that could be used to support sustainable tourism.
The First Minister also revealed that the government will consult on a draft Taxi and Private Hire Vehicles Bill.
Speaking in the Senedd, he said: "Both our record of delivery and our plans for the future reflect our commitment to radical and transformative change for every corner of Wales as we focus our resources on what matters most in people's daily lives.
"From completely reshaping the public transport system to protecting our critical infrastructure and safeguarding the environment, our ambitious legislative programme will make a real difference to the lives of people all across Wales.
“I look forward to both a renewed, genuine partnership with the new UK Government and to continuing to work with Members across this Siambr as we strive towards unlocking more opportunities across Wales and delivering positive, progressive change.”
