A North Wales housing association has scooped a top award for Mental Health & Wellbeing.
ClwydAlyn Housing won the Best for Mental Health & Wellbeing award at the reputable 2024 Working Families Best Practice Awards.
This award is given to organisations which show an extraordinary commitment to employee health and innovative wellbeing initiatives.
The Working Families charity organisation recognises outstanding employers who set new standards for employee-friendly workplaces on an annual basis.
For ClwydAlyn, its dedication to employee wellbeing was proven when they recently achieved the Gold level Wellbeing Quality Mark from Mental Health First Aid Wales.
The housing association, one of only five organisations in Wales with the gold mark, also has trained 145 staff members as Mental Health First Aiders.
Edward Hughes, executive director of care and support at ClwydAlyn Housing shared his joy at the award.
He said: "We’re thrilled to have won the Best for Mental Health & Wellbeing award sponsored by Independent Living Fund Scotland.
"It’s fantastic to see the hard work of the Health and Wellbeing Team being recognised through this prestigious award.
"The team care so much about our employees and have created such a positive working environment, one where everyone is encouraged to lead healthy lives and make choices to support their wellbeing."
Working Families chief executive, Jane van Zyl, said: "Congratulations to ClwydAlyn Housing and to all the winners of this year’s Best Practice Awards."
She also added: "I’d like to congratulate all the finalists for their dedication to being employers who aren’t afraid to do things differently and go the extra mile for their people and their business.
"Their inspiring family-friendly policies and supportive practices are helping transform the world of work for future generations so that everyone, from families to businesses, can reap the rewards."
