A MAN from Denbighshire has been named on a new list of deliberate tax defaulters in the UK.

Eifion Wyn Jones, of Tan Llan, Corwen, and who trades in the construction industry, has a tax bill of £26,050.28, according to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

Every quarter, HMRC “names and shames” those who have been caught filing incorrect tax reports across the country.

Mr Jones features on the latest list, published today (July 9), which also states that he was hit with a penalty of £17,323.43 as a result of his unpaid tax.

His period of default concerns the financial year beginning April 6, 2021 and ending April 5, 2022.

HMRC lists those who have been handed one or more penalties for deliberate defaults, and if those penalties involve outstanding tax of more than £25,000.

Mr Jones’ former registered address was Cefn Mawr, Wrexham, according to HMRC’s latest list.

His outstanding tax bill is the third-smallest to make today’s list, with the largest being the £4.6million owed by music company The Nameless Ltd.
