WORK has commenced this week on a new beach access ramp, as part of the Central Prestatyn Coastal Defence Scheme.
This ramp is located at the end of the central footpath running through the golf course, opposite Lyons Robin Hood Holiday Park.
There will be a temporary footpath diversion in place to maintain promenade access at all times.
A new temporary golf course crossing gate will be installed to replace the existing golf course crossing gate.

Access to the beach will be available via nearest beach access points.
This work will take approximately 10 weeks.
A Denbighshire County Council spokesperson said: “We appreciate your co-operation whilst this work takes place.”
Work at the Central Prestatyn Coastal Defence Scheme focuses on the area adjacent to Rhyl Golf Club.
This project will protect more than 2,000 properties from potential floods and coastal erosion for the next 100 years.
The Prestatyn scheme is centred on building a high embankment to protect the area from coastal flooding.
It is due to be completed in 2025.
