THE CHAIN which owns the now-closed Pontins site in Prestatyn has been voted the worst in the UK for the 11th consecutive year.
Britannia Hotels was ranked lowest by consumer choice group Which?, whose annual list showed it received a customer satisfaction score of 48 per cent, down eight per cent from 56 two years ago.
The chain was rated two-out-of-five stars for breakfast, customer service, bed comfort, cleanliness, value for money and communal areas and décor.
Bathrooms, bedrooms and Wi-Fi at their sites were scored one-out-of-five stars.

Pontins / Prestatyn Sands Holiday Park, which opened in 1971, closed effective immediately in November last year with staff told after an initial statement was posted online.
Britannia Hotels later said that continuing trading at the park in to 2024 was "no longer a viable business decision".
The chain also owns the Grand Hotel in Llandudno, which is the worst-rated large hotel in the town on TripAdvisor, with more than 700 'terrible' reviews.
The latest research was based on almost 4,500 hotel stays, with members of the public invited to rate their experiences at 35 chains according to ten key categories.
Britannia Hotels was approached for comment.
