A NEW bar in Rhyl opened for the first time last weekend, taking on a premises previously occupied by another bar.
Tinkers Bar welcomed customers to 27 Wellington Road for the first time on Saturday, June 29 – formerly the home of The North, which closed last August.
The bar will trade from 12pm-3.30am, seven days a week.
Tinkers Bar was previously based in Rhyl at 17-19 Water Street, where it opened last July.
This has now closed, but is due to re-open later this month after a rebranding, and will become an “over-25s bar, with ‘90s and ‘noughties’ throwback music".
Owner James Tinker said: “We had a fantastic opening night on Saturday.
“The weather wasn’t the best for the garden party, but everyone still came along; it was an extremely busy night, and we hope to continue giving the best weekend nights out in and around Rhyl.
“During the weeknights, we plan to have cash bingo, comedians and singers, and karaoke - a bit for everyone’s taste.
“We will be also starting a darts and pool team, and on weekends, entertainment from live DJs, back to back with our resident DJ, Paul Maffia, and also introducing rock bands and open deck nights and performance acts
“We are also going to introduce a food menu in the coming weeks, with pub grub.”
