A DAY FULL of fashion, food and racing was enjoyed at the Matthew Clark Summer Style Race Day on Saturday (June 29).

There may have been some grey skies about that day, but the atmosphere at Chester Racecourse remained 'electric' throughout, according to organisers.

The Flying Seagull came out on top in the 1.50pm Champagne Laurent-Perrier EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes, while Bur Dubai galloped over the finish line first in the Whispering Angel Handicap Stakes at 2:25pm.

Radio Goo Goo was champion of the 3pm Manor Car Hire Handicap Stakes, with Al Shabab Storm finishing first in the 3.35pm Patron Tequila Handicap Stakes that followed.

The 4.10pm Jam Shed Handicap Stakes saw Sea Grey crowned champion, while Bobby Benu was the winner of the 4.45pm Born To Mix Absolute Vodka Novice Stakes.

The final race of the day - the Chase Distillery EBF Fillies' Handicap Stakes held at 5.20pm - saw Esmeray crowned champion, taking home the £25,000 prize.
