A PUB in Prestatyn has been handed a new food hygiene rating, the Food Standards Agency's website shows.
The Red Lion Inn, at Ffordd Talargoch, Meliden, Prestatyn, was handed a three-out-of-five score after being assessed on May 22.
The report into the business rated its management of food safety, hygienic food handling, and its cleanliness and the condition of its facilities and building ‘generally satisfactory’.

It means that of Denbighshire's 264 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 191 (72 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
The Red Lion Inn enjoys a stellar reputation, with a four-star rating on TripAdvisor based on 260 reviews.
The most recent review, from last month, said their experience was “not so grand”, with another review from the same month hailing the food as “excellent”.
