Rhyl Community Partnership chair, Margaret O’Sullivan, said yesterday: “It is with regret that, after 20 years, our contract with North Hoyle Windfarm has come to an end, and we no longer have the funds to keep the resource centre open.
“Originally, we were hoping to keep the centre open until July 11, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we are having to close it today.
“We are in negotiations for the printer and some of the other equipment to be housed in an alternative venue for community groups to use, and further details will follow with more information.”
Margaret also expressed her thanks and gratitude to Kevin Chamberlain, who ran the centre and helped those who used it with photocopying and posters, or by providing computer assistance.
