AN EVENTS and fancy dress/makeup/special effects company based in Prestatyn is closing after “eight years of hard work and fantastic times”.

Garden Den/Go Big Events, based on Bastion Road, confirmed the news yesterday afternoon (June 27), saying it has been left with “no other option” but to cease trading.

Anyone with outstanding bookings who will require a refund has been asked to email gardendengobig@gmail.com.

A statement read: “It’s been a rough few months here at Garden Den/Go Big Events; there has been a lot going on.

“We have tried to firefight a few issues that have been going on, but as much as we tried, we unfortunately have lost the fight.

“We have also been battling our own demons in many different factors of business and personal life, and we have made the decision to finally close our doors after eight years of hard work and fantastic times.”

The business also asked people to be “patient” and not become “aggressive and threatening”.

Anyone seeking a refund has been asked not to arrive at its shop, as the business said it cannot assist with cash refunds.

Its statement added: “This was a family-run business that has no other option but to close the doors.

“We appreciate each and every one of you that we have worked with and for, and maybe one day, we will be back, but for now, this is the final curtain call.

“Thank you all so much, and again, we are very sorry for having to do this.”
