AN ELDERLY man is still in hospital in Stoke with “serious injuries” almost one month after he was struck by a vehicle in Rhyl in a suspected “hit and run” incident.
At 8.22am on June 1, North Wales Police was called to a report that a male pedestrian had been hit by a car on Kingsley Avenue.
The car, a silver Ford Focus, initially stopped, but then made off from the scene.
An air ambulance then transferred the 77-year-old man to Stoke, while police found the car parked outside a property on Marsh Road.

Yesterday (June 25), North Wales Police confirmed the man remains in hospital, and the three men and one woman found inside the Marsh Road property are still on bail following their arrests.
A force spokesperson said: “The pedestrian remains in hospital in Stoke with serious injuries.
“The four individuals arrested remain on police bail, and the investigation is ongoing.”
