Photographing landmarks can be a rewarding and challenging endeavor, combining technical skills with creativity to capture the essence and grandeur of famous locations.
We asked our Camera Club members to share photos of landmarks.
The responded with some mazing photographs of buildings and structures, from North Wales but also from as far away as the USA, Japan, and Hong Kong.
Trying a few techniques can help you take stunning landmark photographs:
Learn about the landmark's history, significance, and best angles. Research famous shots to see what has already been done and think about how you can offer a fresh perspective.
Visit the location at different times of day. Early morning and late afternoon (golden hours) often provide the best natural lighting. Night photography can also add a dramatic effect with illuminated structures.
