PRESTATYN Cricket Club has installed solar panels on the roof of its clubhouse.
This initiative forms part of the club’s commitment to environmental sustainability, and also aims to reduce its operational expenses, meaning more can be invested in the club.
The decision to go solar comes as part of the club's broader efforts to reduce its carbon footprint and embrace eco-friendly practices.

By harnessing the power of the sun, the club seeks to minimise its reliance on traditional energy sources, reducing the impact it has on the environment.
Solar installers Thompson Renewables carried out the project from start to finish.
The club manager said: “Paul at Thompson Renewables was really helpful; we knew because of our location that installing solar was a no-brainer, but we just needed the right partner to do it.
“Luckily, the team has done a fantastic job, just in time for the season to start!”
Members of the club have warmly welcomed the initiative, viewing it as a positive step towards a more environmentally conscious future.
