It was a poignant time last week when Jules Peters led the trek to Spain without her beloved husband Mike by her side.
Jules lead a Charity Trek Pilgrimage at El Camino Rocks while her rock star husband remained at home undergoing chemotherapy.
If comes after Mike received a new diagnosis of an aggressive lymphoma eight weeks ago.

Evan Peters, Jules and Mike’s youngest son, stepped up to take the place of his dad.
Wearing his dad’s trekking shoes and infamous green camo jacket - when Mike was first diagnosed with leukaemia back in the nineties he consulted a faith healer who told him that green was his healing colour.

Green became the colour of Love Hope and Strength, the Peters’ charity and, since his new diagnosis, Mike has constantly worn his greens.
Evan walked more than 80 miles together with his mum and a group of Love Hope Strength trekkers who had joined them from all over the world to support the charity.
But there was a special homecoming at the weekend as Jules, Evan, and the trekking team returned to The Red community hub in Dyserth to take on the final leg of their journey - a 10 mile hike from Talacre lighthouse to Mike’s statue in Rhyl.

Jules said: "It was an emotional start as Mike waved the trekkers off and greeted them at the end of the hike by his very own statue with a heartfelt rendition of the charity’s anthem, Love Hope and Strength.
"There wasn’t a dry eye on the beach!"

The Alarm frontman was first diagnosed with leukaemia in 1995 and ten years later in 2005 received chemotherapy at Bangor Hospital.

Looking out on the mountains from his hospital window, Mike vowed to climb Yr Wyddfa once he had recovered to raise money for North Wales hospitals.
And so Love Hope Strength, the Peters’ charity was born.

Since that day, the Peters’ charity has gone from strength to strength.
The Peters’ Family remain positive that Mike will get through this next difficult phase of chemotherapy and then a potential stem cell transplant at the Christie Hospital in Manchester.
Returning from his latest treatment on Wednesday, Mike called at Llangollen Pavilion for the Simple Minds gig.
