FILMING for a new S4C drama series aimed at young people took place in Rhyl earlier this week.
Residents spotted crews on Monday (June 17), by Les & Rita’s Fish Bar on Wellington Road.
This was for the filming of Hafiach, a drama series which will be targeted at those aged 12 to 15 years old.

Described as a “gripping teen thriller with a twist”, the series starts on the day of the last GCSE exam for a group of friends, who later start their “summer of freedom” with a beach party.
But during the party, the body of a 12-year-old boy is found on the beach.
As police begin a murder investigation, the gang are drawn into the process as they discover the distressing truth behind the death of the boy - he and his 15-year-old brother were both refugees and were escaping a war-torn country.
The group decide to help the older brother to escape from police and find freedom, but as they do, tragedy strikes again as a second death takes place in the town.
Filming is being undertaken by production company Vox Pictures.
It will be broadcast some time before April 2025.
