A NEW winery and bakery which will be situated next door to each other in the Abergele will open on the same day at the end of next month.
Linda Dykes, who has also run Diamond Cleaning in Abergele for the last 15 years, plans to welcome customers to both The Winery (Y Gwindy) and The Bakery (Y Becws), from Friday, July 26.
She confirmed the official opening date for both businesses earlier today (June 15).

Abergele woman to open new winery and bakery next door to each other
These will be both be situated on Market Street, with The Bakery taking on the premises previously occupied by Cumberland House Bakery.
The Bakery will open at 9am on July 26, followed by The Winery at 6pm later that day, with a “star-studded line-up of celebrity guest singers” planned.
Among those entertaining visitors will be Dene Michael, the former lead vocalist of Black Lace, Rhyl-born Sami Brooks, a X Factor finalist in 2011, and Herbie Graham and his wife to “entertain you with North Wales' finest music”.
The Winery and The Bakery will be serving customers four and six days a week respectively.
Though The Winery will not be serving meals, it will offer cheese and charcuterie boards and more, which can be adapted to the customer’s preference.
In addition, anything purchased from The Bakery can be brought into The Winery to enjoy with an alcoholic, hot or cold drink.
There will also be a outdoor seating area at the front of The Winery.
Linda told the Journal last month that the opening of both businesses will not affect how Diamond Cleaning is run, adding: “I’ve had loads of support so far, which has been absolutely amazing.
“The Bakery, I think, will just go hand in hand with The Winery, and I think there’s a big need for one in Abergele.
“They will support each other having joined together – people can walk out of one and go straight into the other.”
