A Bodelwyddan-based company have been internationally recognised for commitment to digital transformation and Building Information Modeling.

Wynne Construction has hit a major milestone in increasing digital efficiency and streamlining the construction process.

The Welsh firm has gained international recognition for its commitment to digital development and Building Information Modelling (BIM) by securing the ISO 19650-2:2018 certification.

Incorporating BIM to skilfully manage and complete high-quality projects using collaborative digital designs, reducing errors and cutting down on waste has brought kudos to Wynne Construction.

This critical UKAS accredited certification will play a role in further sustainable expansion throughout Wales and north west England.

Wynne Construction design and BIM manager Richard Beatson said: "While we have integrated BIM principles into all our schemes for many years, being one of just a handful of firms securing this ISO certification will really set us apart in the sector."

He added: "The needs of the industry are ever changing, and the ability to offer customers peace of mind through the ISO certification will help us enhance our portfolio of work."

The company's BIM expertise is being used in the design and construction of Wrexham University’s Enterprise, Engineering, and Optics Centre (EEOC).

Pre-construction director Andy Garner said: "Achieving the ISO certification has been a lot of hard work for the team, but the feeling of obtaining the certificate was incredible for all.

"We’re excited to see the impact this milestone has on our growth targets."

Previous honours for the company include ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management systems.

BIM certification scheme manager Ben Curtis said: "Wynne has demonstrated diligent efforts to align its business and deliver work in compliance with ISO 19650-2:2018."

Wynne Construction operate across Wales and the north west of England, and are involved in projects in education, social housing, healthcare, and sport and leisure.
