New manager Emma Owen, who worked at the store prior to its closure last year, said: “We are nearing completion of the shop now, and are aiming for a Friday opening.
“It closed as the previous franchisee (Fousert Ltd) went into administration back in December; but now, the franchise has been taken over by someone else. I’ll be the manager.
“We’re looking forward to seeing the customers again, old and new.”
The store will offer:
- An “excellent range of spirits, wines, beers and ciders”.
- A convenience range.
- Payzone and lottery features.
- A selection of “favourite Bargain Booze deals”.
Fousert Ltd, which ran both Bargain Booze in Rhyl and Subway in Colwyn Bay before they each closed in December, also has Costcutter franchises.
Francesca Tackie, of Mercury Corporate Recovery Solutions Ltd, was appointed as its administrator.
Per Companies House, the business’ last published balance sheet, concerning its affairs for the financial year up to March 31, 2022, showed that it had £374,045 in amounts falling due within a year to its creditors.
