SEVERAL play areas in Conwy will be closed at the start of this week while maintenance work is carried out on them.
The play areas in question will be closed from today (June 10).
Conwy County Borough Council is replacing safety surfacing in four of the play areas, and refurbishing the surfacing at Pentre Mawr MUGA (Multi Use Games Area).

A total of six play areas will be closed, which are as follows:
- Llannerch Road Play Area, Llanfairfechan - replacing safety surfacing, closed June 10 and 11.
- Bodnant Road Play Area, Llandudno - replacing safety surfacing, closed June 10 and 11.
- Rhos Paddling Pool Play Area, Rhos on Sea - replacing worn out and damaged safety surfacing around the play area, but no access to the pool during the work on June 10, 11 and 12.
- Maes Aled, Llansannan Play Area - replacing safety surfacing, closed June 10 and 11.
- Pentre Mawr Park MUGA, Abergele - repainting MUGA surfacing, reopening today (June 10).
- Tir Prince Park MUGA, Towyn.
