A MAN from Prestatyn has admitted controlling and coercive behaviour towards a woman.
David Todd, 58, of Brynllys West, pleaded guilty to the charge at Mold Crown Court this morning (May 29).
The court heard that, between September 10, 2022 and April 27, 2023, Todd exhibited such behaviour through numerous acts which had a “substantial effect on her day to day activities”.

These included complaining about the victim’s tidiness and appearance, and about her use of her mobile phone to speak to other people.
He also required her to explain who she had spoken to.
Todd, who was described as being “lightly convicted”, will be sentenced at the same court on Wednesday, July 10.
His bail was extended until then, on the condition that he keeps to an appointment with the probation service.
A pre-sentence report will be compiled on Todd’s behalf in the intervening period.
