A MOTHER and daughter in Rhyl welcomed customers to their new toy shop in the town for the first time last weekend.
Samara Bowyer, 24, and mum Sammy, 47, opened The Gifts Fairy, at 10 Bedford Street, on Saturday (May 25).
On opening day, customers met the shop’s mascot, Ellie the Elephant, and received a free drink on arrival.

There was also a free goodie bag for the first 11 families, and cupcakes for the first 44 customers.
As well as selling toys, the store also offers a range of other products including cosmetics, clothes, jewellery, hair accessories and personalised gifts.
Samara said: “Opening day went really well; I can't thank everyone enough, from customers to supporters - I wouldn't be able to do this without them all.
“We opened at 12pm, with people already queueing outside. We also hosted lucky dips, spin the giant wheel, and face painting.
“For May and June, we’re also offering 10 per cent off our stock – we have so many offers, such as £2, £3 and £5 rails of clothes.
“We have so many local businesses that have helped us, and I would also love to thank them for their help and support.
“We also will be posting leaflets to our locals and offering five per cent off stock to them to say thank you - these can used any time through the year, just hand your leaflet into the store.
For the last year, Samara has been selling stock which customers will find in the store from her home via Facebook Live videos.
She will continue to share these videos while also running the shop.
The store will also offer a “rent a shelf” scheme to other businesses, costing £25 per month.
Its back room, meanwhile, is being renovated so that it can host “VIP art and craft classes” for adults and children, as well as being a craft storage room.
