POLLUTION ALERTS have been flagged in Rhyl, following two sewage overflows in the area.
Storm sewage has been discharged from a sewer overflows in the areas close to the Travelodge and Sun Verge, and Rhyl fun fair site.
Surfers and swimmers were alerted to a sewage discharge by Surfers Against Sewage, which monitors sewage incidents in coastal towns across the UK.
The Surfers Against Sewage alert said of each incident: “Storm sewage has been discharged from a sewer overflow in this location within the past 48 hours."
