1: The CookHouse Pub & Carvery, Prestatyn

A spacious outside seating area and kids play area makes the CookHouse ideal for a relaxing drink in the open air while enjoying the seafront views.

One reviewer wrote: “Lovely friendly pub. Went with my dog after a long walk on the beach, dog friendly tables inside, they provided him with a water bowl and some meat off the carvery as a treat.”

2: The Blue Lion, Cwm

A decked beer garden overlooking rolling fields, the Blue Lion is a popular destination for anyone looking to enjoy good weather and good company.

“Impromptu spot of lunch,” wrote one patron. “In a wheelchair and as it was such a sunny day sat outside and enjoyed the views of the Clwydian range. Fabulous food, excellent service and friendly staff. Thank you all also for welcoming our dog. It’s made my week.”

3: The Mayquay, Kinmel Bay

Enjoy a warm welcome at The Mayquay. With a cosy, sheltered outdoor seating area for those who want both fresh air and shade, the Mayquay also boasts an extensive food menu.

A recent visitor from Manchester was certainly impressed: “What a joy. Comfortable, welcoming. Our dogs were made very welcome also. I have an allergy and was presented with the best, easiest to read list to match the menu that I have ever seen.” 

4: The Bull Hotel, Abergele

Just off Market Street, The Bull Hotel boasts a gorgeous, decked beer garden.

A visiting couple from Birmingham posted: “We are regular visitors to The Bull and always have a great evening there. The atmosphere is good, the food is lovely and the staff are really friendly with a great sense of humour. They are always very welcoming to our dogs, who really enjoy their visit too!”

5: Sun Verge, Rhyl

With a dedicated play area for the kids and plenty of space, the Sun Verge is a great place to take advantage of the brighter evenings and meet up with friends.
